Recipe Ingredients:

  • 12 ounces (about 340g) halal spaghetti
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 8 ounces (about 225g) halal turkey bacon or beef bacon, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Recipe Instructions:

Cook the Spaghetti:

Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the halal spaghetti and cook according to the package instructions until it's al dente (cooked but firm to the bite). Drain the pasta, reserving about 1/2 cup of the cooking water, and set aside.

Cook the Beef Bacon:

Heat the olive oil over medium-high heat in a large skillet. Add the halal turkey or beef bacon and cook until it becomes crispy about 5-7 minutes. Remove the bacon from the skillet and place it on a paper towel to drain excess oil.

Prepare the Sauce:

In a mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, and some freshly ground black pepper.

Combine the Pasta and Sauce:

Quickly toss the cooked spaghetti in the skillet with the bacon drippings to coat the pasta evenly. Remove the skillet from heat. While the pasta is still hot, pour the egg and cheese mixture over it and toss quickly to combine. If the sauce is too thick, add some of the reserved pasta cooking water a little at a time until you reach the desired creamy consistency.

Serve:
